Jeanie Marie Buss was born in the United States. Buss is the founder and the president of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss comes from California was born into an exceptionally wealthy family. Jerry Buss was her father. Jerry Buss started out as a realty business tycoon and then later owned the Lakers. The couple divorced in 1972 which made her feel like she was left behind. As a 19-year-old she was able to take over her role as General Manager of the Los Angeles Strings professional Tennis team as General Manager. Later, she founded the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team. The position she held was President of Great Western Forum prior to becoming the vice-president of Lakers. Buss' father died in 2013, and the Lakers were inherited from him by her as well as five of her siblings via a trust. Each sibling had an equal number of votes. Her duties were assumed as the president of Los Angeles Lakers. Buss has also been a partner in the ownership of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling group).
